minyan going. One night this past week, only "one" person
showed up for Maariv.
Can you help make the minyan? Ma'ariv only takes 15
minutes (maximum) of your time. B"H there are over 140
family members in our shul, but only 10 men are needed
for Ma'ariv.
Please commit to at least one night Monday through
Thursday each week. This will ensure that there is a
minyan every night.

Condolences
To Lior Issacof on the loss of his father who passed away
in Israel. Lior is sitting shiva there.
To Mel Saltzman on the loss of his mother, Rebecca
Saltzman. The graveside funeral will take place on Friday
at 1:00p at Mount Zion Cemetery, 59-63 54th Avenue,
Maspeth, NY 11378. Shiva information will be announced.
Chanukah Toy Drive
The annual Bergen County Chanukah Toy Drive is
underway. Drop off your unwrapped gifts at the home of
Steve & Shulie Kirschner (205 Vandelinda Ave., Teaneck)

Youth Department Update
Aaron Friedman has decided to step down as Youth
Director. We thank Aaron and his wife Ariella for their
efforts to date and wish them well. Daniel Cukor, with
assistance from the other members of the Youth
Committee, will be assuming Aaron's responsibilities. The
Youth Committee remains committed to enhancing our
groups and implementing exciting new programs for our
shul. See page 3 to find out what's happening at YIOT.

our beloved member, Mitch Merlis. Shiva will be observed

Blood Donors Requested
Blood donors (type O+ or O-) and blood PLATELET donors
(does not matter blood type) are needed for Elyokim Meir ben
Segal. Blood donations can be done at Hackensack Med Ctr
(HUMC) Mon-Thu 8:00a-6:00p (latest arrival) and Fri 8:00a-
2:30p (latest arrival) and take about 1 hour. Platelet donations
may be done at HUMC Mon-Thu 8:00a-5:00p (latest arrival) and
take about 3 hours. Contact David Siegel dsiegel@ustrust.com
and specify if you plan to donate blood, platelets or are available
for both. We are working to obtain more specific patient needs
and would like to set-up a donor schedule as soon as possible.
