Bnei Akiva Event

Meet & Greet Dessert

YIOT Sisterhood’s Meet and Greet Dessert will be on September 9th at 4:00p in the YIOT multipurpose room. To host a new family for Shabbat lunch (September 9th) before the dessert, contact Pam Newman at 201-862-9764.



YIOT Calendars Have Arrived

Shul calendars can be picked up at the following locations: YIOT multipurpose room (in a box labeled “YIOT Calendars&rdquoWinking, Gutlove Home - 131 Golf Ct. (in a box labeled “YIOT Calendars” by the front door) or Schechter Home - 1014 Phelps Rd. (drop off for Chupat Ne'arim as well).



Chuppat Ne’arim

To have your child’s name on the Simchat Torah Chuppah used during Kol Hanearim, send a check made out to YIOT with the names in written Hebrew to Rachel Schechter at 1014 Phelps Rd. by August 31st. The first child’s name is $36. Additional names are $25 each.



Yamim Noraim Services

If you’d like to participate in the davening or laining over Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, please see George Silfen.



Yamim Noraim Babysitting

Babysitting is available during davening for children ages 3 +. Each year, a group of Teaneck High School students babysit during davening, with one or two volunteer members checking on them. This light supervision is extremely important, doesn’t
require a lot of work, and has a huge impact in the running of the shul over the chagim. To volunteer, contact Mark Zomick.



New Committee

A House Committee has been formed. Its members are Ari Greene, Michael Gutlove, Leslie Srolovitz and Mark Zomick. If you have any issues or notice something amiss in the building, contact one of the above people or email house@yiot.org.



Parsha Party for Boys

Below is the schedule for parsha parties for 7 to 9 year old boys. All parsha parties begin at 4:30p.

to encourage our children and see their joy when their
name appears in the newsletter. To sponsor a Shabbat

Rabbi Weinberger's weekly Shiur on Megillat Esther will be on
Monday, 9:30a at YIOT. Babysitting will be available with an
advance request. Contact Cyla Steinmetz for babysitting.



Can You Help?

Two young women from Bnei Akiva will be living near YIOT
to run programs for YIOT and YNJ. While very generous
people have opened their home to them, we are collecting
the following items to accomodate their stay:
2 Beds
2 Dressers
2 Hanging closets (free standing wardrobe-type piece)
1 Microwave
1 Computer
Storage space for the above until September 1st
If you have, or know someone who is looking to donate
any of the following items, e-mail Sharona Aronoff at
