Shabbat Shalom from YIOT–Parshat Vayechi

Thank you to the YIOT community for its support of us over the last several months (and continued support), with tefillos, phone calls, hospital visits, loaner clothes, advice, challah baking and most importantly, lots of love when our son Rafi was in the hospital. It is heartening to know that we have such wonderful friends, even after we have moved out of the community to our new home in Silver Spring, MD. Thank you for embodying everything that a Jewish community should be and being such a Kiddush Hashem.
-Judah, Carolyn, Jonathan and Rafi Kaplan

Save the Date: Shul Dinner, March 7th
The Young Israel of Teaneck will be celebrating its 11th Annual Dinner this year. Our guests of honor will be Pam & Ray Newman. The Shul will be joining the Newmans in dedicating the Dr. Bertram J. Newman Adult Education Program. The Newmans have long been central to many of our shul’s activities and they are worthy recipients of this honor.

The recipients of the Charlie Gartenberg Memorial Service Award will be Jennifer & Michael Wimpfheimer. Words cannot express our gratitude for all the Wimpfheimers do on behalf of our community. Once again the dinner will be chaired by Deena & Mendy Segal.

The dinner will take place on Sunday, March 7th at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center.
We are looking forward to an enjoyable and successful evening.
